Everything Looks Different at Night

Everything looks different at night,
Ever more magical,
Ever more mysterious.

Everything looks different at night,
The trees, the way they sway,
The winds, their hum and their rhythms.

Why does everything look different at night?
The world and its changed momentary facet,
The yearning for the resurfacing of light.

One wonders how everything looks different at night,
When the clouds are no longer visible,
Where the stars dominate the dark sea of black,
And each smile seems heartier and real.

I miss those moments, the different sights of night,
Where dreams and fantasies come to life...
Reality diminishes, and instantaneously,
The impossible and the bewildering,
The sought for and the hoped,
Musters all courage from within,
Wrestles themselves from all restrain,
And for two seconds, just two seconds,
I lived.
