HECTIC.

Why? Is this week already over for me?
Almost, it is.
Tomorrow is LABOUR DAY!
So yeshh!! NO 6 HOURS of MALAYSIAN STUDIES!!!

So why have i been MIA-ing for so long?
Because of assignments... Assignments...
ASSIGNMENTS!!! >.<
Slept at 2.30am and woke up at 7.30am this morning!! @_@

Yesterday was a scary day for me... :S
It was unusually...
"chehh" (unlucky? unfortunate? in cantonese)!
First time officially car-pooling with Edmond (aka Monty! :D),
We were devastated and "pleased" to find ourselves
Encountering briefly with the devil himself!

Monty driving... Everything was good...
Hitz.fm was playing... And we sang along... LOLS!
Unhesitatingly!Although we were sleepy and yawned alot! XD

Reached the toll to Kajang,
Signal put on...
And slowly making our way to the Touch N Go lane...
Suddenly... KAPOOOOMMMMPPPHHH!
"WTF??!"
Heads turned,"SHITT!!!"

Guessing right?
A motorbike whacked us from behind!
And the worst part was?
He FELL! Everything in his carrier flew too!

WTH right??
Signal from so far and still kena???
It was totally not our fault!
But omg...
We still rushed out of the car(after putting on hazard signal of course),
And helped him with his things!

There was : FISH, PRAWNS, ONIONS and various veges!
All splattered on the ground! :O
And and... He was bleeding!! :S
Fell on the ground, scraped his knuckles and knee?
Omg... So much blood! >.<|||

But deep down, i was thinking,
"PHEEWW! Luckily its just outer skin damage!"
We did our best to help the guy up.
Bare in mind, around us, traffic was still going on!

Got him back on his feet again,
I swear, the blood was so ORANGY!
I can't explain how bad i felt for him...
But it is in fact, his fault right... :(

Ran to the car, got him some tissue paper!
Can tell he was in pain with the fresh open wounds.
But then we got him saddled up,
Apologised, and off we went.

In the car, Monty told me he gave the guy RM70!
I was like,"What?! When?? O,O!"
Mmm i felt it was partially my responsibility too,
Considering i was part of what happened...
So i gave Mont RM50 to ease the situation.

Our hearts were beating so fast!
We didnt need to say to know how scared we were!
But thank lord i was with Monty then...
If it had happened to me alone,
I'm certain i would have melted down and cried.

But hey, we made it out fine.
Mont's car dented a bit at the back.
But at least we were safe, and the dude was ok.
Mont, "This is the first time i kena accident..."
I didn't know what to say...
Then he continued,
"Well, at least theres a first for everything...
And i must say! It was pretty THRILLING wasn't it?"
We smiled, and let it past. : )

Finally reached campus, relief! X)
Met up with some classmates,
Found out that one of my friends DJ also kena accident!
I was like, "WHAT IS WRONG??!!!"
Damn. So chehh. >.<

Turns out, his Myvi kena scraped across by a bus!
One of the school bus somemore! :S

We went to investigate the victim.
First reaction, SADness.
Top right driver's door was dented!
Can't even open the door anymore!
The edges close to the lights were so scraped,
That there was a hole!

DJ said,
"Today we both kena... Mine was physical damage!
Yours was MENTAL damage!!"
I was thinking... True to the core.

Glad Monty and i made it safely back home too.
This experience has taught me to be extremely observant
And alert when reaching tolls.
To deal with situations calmly...
And to never forget to pay the dude for his losses!
Although its clear it wasn't us to blame.

However, fortunately there are still
Nice and AWESOME people like us
To be heroes in the world! XD

Gratefully, God was there to save us from the devil.
And gratefully, we were both in it together!
Unregretfully THRILLING, no? X)

Yesterday, was... AWESOME.
My highschool friend - Mandy is leaving for US soon!
So there we were... The Year Niners!

Its been a millennium since i met up with the crew!
I haven't been able to make it for most in the past
Due to lots of excuses i won't bother to mention here...
The best part is, ALMOST ALL showed up this time! ^_^

But before this, a little wind-back to before the rendezvous!

In the car, after Uni...
Waiting waiting for Hon Xing...
Felt, sleepy, tired, exhausted.
Just finished like 6 hours of M'sian Studies!!!
Urggghh! How Ewww is that?! @_@

Got in the car,
"Hey Shannon! How are you?"
"Really tired, exhausted really..."

And we drove towards home.
Halfway through the journey,
"CRAP! Whats wrong with the breaks????!!!
It wouldn't stop!!! OMG...!!!"

Nearing home, pulled up to the side,
"Shit... SO DANGEROUS! Hon Xing, are you scared??"
"Nahh its alright... Just take it slow... The fluid in the breaks must be out!"
"Omg what? Breaks have fluids??" @,@ :S

Took it slow, the breaks still wouldn't work...
My heart was beating so fast...
So many bumps ahead...

Raging drivers...
A Toll!!!

Don't ask me how we survived all that...

Then finally, all of us needed to go to the loo!
So paid the bill, and away we go again!

We still didn't get the table. XD!!!

10minutes or more later,
Open air, 10 seated, menus in our faces,
We took a long time to decide what to eat...
Although my tummy was already rocking and rolling!

Yay! Sprite! My favourite drink!
Free refills? Wheeeee.......!!!
Food was nice, all was good!
More talk and more laughs...
Mmmm i enjoyed their company so much...
I didn't realize how much i had missed them!
And and, how some of them changed...

Omg... He's like, almost a head taller than me?!

Three years ago he was only about my chin height!
Unbelievable or what?!
Awwwhh i still love him tho...
He will always be my lil bro no matter how tall he becomes!

Everyone was done with the meal,
Which wasnt too bad...
Took a few more group pictures,
And we parted with lots of hugs and more promises
Of another gathering in five years time?
Nahh i don't think i can wait that long...

Hugging each and everyone of them,
I refused to cry, altho my nose was already slightly sour.
I was never one who loved to leak in front of them.
No, not I.

As i left with Yee Moo,
And Jan left for her driver (she's leaving for Aus again Monday :''( ),
I truly believed deep within that, YEAHH...
There will definitely be more good memories to come with them...
No matter how far apart the world takes us to!

Today was a good day for me...
I am so glad that, after all was said and done,
Mom and dad is really trusting me with the car!

You guys must be thinking,
"Arghh... Why is she making such a big deal of this?!"

Well peeps, to answer your question,
Its because, i've been waiting too damn long
For this to actually happen! Haha!

You know when i got my license?
You'll never be able to guess!
It was LAST YEAR AUGUST. =.=|||

And only now i'm finally being left alone with the car!
Its me AND the car, THATS IT! XD

So yes, my personal achievement!
Somehow, long before this,
I have literally dreamt before of this day.
When driving feels as if it was something i did all my life...
Perhaps it is... : )

Anyhuu, skipping to the next point,
I am also quite happy with my current state in my new environment!

Its been... 2-3 years since i've felt so happy in a schooling environment?
You have no idea how much i suffered through highschool...

We went swimming as planned today...
And yes, i actually completed my personal target
For FIRST Swimming workout session : 20 laps! XD
Not much, but its a start to redemption for the past 9 months

So YEAH! It was really nice!
All was good! ^_^
And and, i reversed parked in two places,
And and, it was PERFECT! XD
(Although only after a few attempts)

Still struggling with the direct nose parking though!
But heck, practice makes perfect right?! X)
Provided i don't whack or crash into other people's car
First while doing it! Wakaka....

So yeah... Had simple lunch in the cafeteria.
And then hung out with Eddie and Cass in the library! :D
FINALLY CHANGED MY UNI EMAIL PASSWORD!!
LOLS I think i'm seriously the last one to do it!

So yeahhh tomorrow marks the end of my FIRST WEEK!
Omg... I feel like crying...
Though there is plenty of time to cry later on...

I SURVIVED!
SHANN SURVIVED FIRST DAY!!!

As always, i was quite nervous this morning!
My alarm was set to wake me up at 9.15am,
But even before that time, my subconscious mind was somewhat
ALREADY AWAKE! XD

Despite everything yesterday, i managed to snuggle into bed
At around... 2am?
HAHAHA... YEAH I know... Such a hypocrite right?
By right should have fallen asleep around one gehh...
But then my body wanted to, but my mind kept flashing...
Flashing about all the things that happened yesterday...
And imagining what would happen today too...
So yeahh... Quite a troubled, sleepless night!

Hmmm... So how was my day you ask?
Well... It started off with me being LATE.
I know, not a wise thing to do.
But it wasn't my fault! XS
Mom was late and I was already waiting for her!
Haha... Fine, its over now.
But the funny part was that,
I was almost breathless when i entered my class!
After getting a weeeeee bit lost!! XD

Ms Allison! Our Group E1 English Academics teacher!
She seems nice i guess.
Like she made us intro ourselves one by one.
Ironically, i was last to intro myself too! XD

Got to know some of ma classmates' names,
Although i can't remember some still. (Ooopppss...)

Was surprised to know that, we actually have
International students in our class too! :D
One from China : Cathy?? and one from Sudan : Basil!!
LOL Haven't gotten to know them both well yet,
But hey, whats the rush??

Anyhuu, we were split into groups to do an exercise
Called differentiating the Academic sentence to the normal ones.
Haha! My group consisted of Cassidy! And Afiq!
They were pretty friendly. : )

First up, make full formal sentences with the pictures she projected on the screen.
Came out with funny, and some weird pics!
Like a baby with guess who? MR BEAN'S disgusting face!
Ewww....!!! Horrible! XP
But alright, it was fun! ^_^
We got most of our answers wrong, along with the whole class! XD
But okayh, we understood everything by the end of it, so CHEERS!!

So lunch it is?
Yeahh met up with Jason(from highschool) and we makan-ed together with Ee Ling.
It was alright... But the food was so little by the time i got there!
Haha... Malay food this time!
And guess what? It cost me Rm2.40 and RM1.20 for drinks too!
LOLS Friggin cheap right?
Hmmm... Didn't taste extraordinary though.

Anyway, we got some errands sorted,
And finally waited to get into class for Maths,
AT THE RIGHT ORANGE BUILDING CLASS! X)

I got to know more friends here.

And then later on Pui Pui, Pei Yi, Edina...
They really seem like nice people! :D
I like the fact that i got to see them all SMILE.
I wonder if i would still be able to in time to come...
When we are no longer NEW to each other...

Maths class was slightly BORING, if not confusing! @,@
Goshh... You know how i totally suck at Math?
Well, it was evidently proven here! X(
We did some brief Exponents Questions.
Recalled just a lil bit here and there...
But still it was mostly a daze for me... :S

Luckily i had sifus' to teach me! XD
Chin Hing clarified some doubts for me,
And yes, i will have to revise them AGAIN tonight!

We have THREE HOURS free time to kill before our final class tomorrow!
First swimming, then said Gym, then said maybe Badminton?
Hahaha... We ended up deciding on Gym!

Hahaha... So happy! Finally found a swimming kaki!!! ^_^
Cass loves swimming btw! He stays in Bukit Jalil!
So alot of practice i guess?

We walked all the way to the Sports Complex.
SO DARN FAR!!! Lols!!!
But we chatted and chatted, so it didnt feel that far anymore. :D
Finally reached there, checked out the place again...
The more i see, the more i'm loving the pool!
And i finally snooped around the girls' toilet too!
Hahaha... Clean and spacious! Very pleasing! : )

Few minutes later,
Mom came, and i gave them both a lift to the S.A Block!
Hahaha... It was really that far kayh...

So THAT WAS IT!
First day over and out!
Although slightly lonely and uncomfortable in the middle
(Especially during lunch),
But i'm glad it ended up pretty compromising! :D

My aunties always said i had regular mood swings when i was young.
I never realized it, never believed it, kept denying it,
Until recently i found out, yeah... I do have them, and...
They're bad! :S

Only a few hours ago,
When i was in gramp's place,
I was feeling all jovial and excited!
Was even quite helpful with the dishes and the errands.

Totally enjoyed speaking to granddad,
Although i did feel a bit sad seeing him so frail
And still battling the blardy infections and gout!
Yet, i was silently praying...

Thinking about tomorrow,
And knowing me, I should be sleepless tonight!
But surprisingly now,
I feel numb, nothing but numb inside!

I wonder why?
Why why why?!
Why does this mood swing pop out!
From no where it just creeps up on me,
And blows me away!
Leaving me to deal with this solemn state now!

Ahh!! Perhaps i will delete this post someday...
For fear others might know and hate me for this flaw of mine.
Or will they accept me?
I'll never know...

I was tired after coming back from the induction that day...
Was it because i was driving?
Or was it because i was using more energy on socializing
And focusing on what the lecturer was telling me?
Deep within, i am constantly worried...
Will my brain lapse and miss out something important?
I do tend to daydream ALOT. Oh No....

But okayh, back to where i left off.
I made myself a bracelet to match my outfit this morning (around 3am!)

Because i was experimenting. X)
Eventhough i've done it once before,
But it was pretty tricky,
And i struggled, but persevered! :D

INDUCTION is OVER!!!

Girl got her Student ID!! (woah, fast yeah?)

Drove there, with BOTH parents in the car!
Was like... 15minutes early?
Got partially lost when i just walked in.
So, proceeded to the admin building which i was in yesterday.
Went up, clarified some CEMPAKA'S FAULT facts with the admin!
And yes, asked for directions! XD

"GREEN Building, ground floor!''
Ahhh... Easily spotting the building, away i went.. :D

Went in the lecture hall, TONNES OF STUDENTS! :S
Saw the top last row of seats, only occupied by ONE dude,
So i sat next to him.
''Hi! Can i sit here?"
"Yeahh sure.''
He helped me with the folding desk?
''So dude, where are you from?"
"I'm from Subang. You staying here?"
''Nahh... Will be driving... Your faculty?"
"Engineering..."
"Ahh... I'm doing Business!! :D "

Suddenly, in came another dude.
"Hi! (handshake) I'm Shannon"
"Hey! Fez! Friends call me Fez!''
''Oh! Meet... (pointing at first dude) Lohan!"
"Hey!" (MORE handshakes)
And we started to chat a little more...
About Fez's accommodation and stuff.
[Talk began already. First up, Vice CEO? Mr Ian Pashby]

Few minutes later, came ANOTHER DUDE!
''Hello! My name is Chin Hing(??)! You can call me handsome!"
XD!!!!!!!!!!
Yeahh i laughed out of politeness!
He was okay... All the way from Kuantan!

We endured most of the talk...
Lots of introductions made...
Loads of DOs and DON'T DOs...
Ahhh My tummy was GRUMBLING!!! :S

Finally all was done!
We were given 5minutes break before we broke out into our faculties.

Got our ID tags!
OMG... Lol!! Looked like i was tortured!! >.<
Haihh... 4 years with it... Bliss!! @,@
























Finally got into our own respective faculty classes,
I was surprised to see, yeahh my class was pretty comfortably numbered!
Not too many, not too few! : )

So we got more forms to fill!!
And a lecturer, Ms Kim gave the whole introduction,
For all the other lecturers as well as what we should expect during the whole course!
Luckily, the lecturers seem nice! Approachable at the least!
So i was pretty hyped!
Got a bit confused with the map she drew on how to get to our classes.
Do you understand it???
Omg.... I still don't!
Someone get me a Nottingham GPS!!!
I SERIOUSLY NEED ONE. O_O
























Got divided into groups for the main subs and english!
Lol! Landed in the same group as Fez! XD
And we got our TIME TABLE too!
I was delighted to find, i'll be having classes EVERYDAY. O_O
I foresee ALOT of attention destruction with the both of us around!
LOLS!!!

We were done with the forms.
Mom was already calling.
So we left for Block G?
To check our groupings for English,
And to get that stupid Malaysian Studies form!
Urgghh...

So yeah! We were done, walked ourselves out.
Fez taking shuttle bus home to Seremban...
Chin Hing has his bro waiting for him in the carpark...
And ma parents were in the ORANGE Business Faculty Building!

Hahahha... Yeahhh I'm remembering the bulidings by their colours!
Cant help it! I'm a 路痴 by nature ok!
So yeah! That was where we parted ways,
Fated to meet and bond more starting Monday!

GOSH!!!

It is FINALLY HAPPENING!!!
Unbelievable...

So dreams do come true?
Mmm... Perhaps... : )

Today, Nottingham had their Registration Day!
Needless to say, i didn't sleep till real late yesterday! :S

Woke up this morning, surprisingly still alert,
Although my face was a little pale.

I did have a late night yesterday.
And i wonder why, i suddenly remembered,
"Heyy... I haven't prayed for a few days now... Was i so bummed?"

Hmm... Anyway, back to the story.
Part of me felt nervous, part of me felt normal.
I didn't really feel nervous to the extent of palm sweating and all,
UNTIL I REACHED THE CAMPUS. XD!!!!

I was like, "Oh.... Its actually happening... After these 9 months! Its really happening!!"
I would bite my fingernails, but nahh, i never had that habit.

So, walked in. First thing i did, SHIVER.
Not only because i was slightly jittery,
But because the air-cond was sooo bloody freezin!!

Haha....
I walked straight towards the counters in front of the hall.
Hand tightly clutching the stuff i had to prepare :
# 1 photocopy IC
# 2 passport size photos
# Original Unconditional Offer Letter

Anyhuu... This english lady was nice. Very polite and very friendly.
My awkwardness evaporated in a second!
Especially when she regretted about the Uni having called me MR instead of MS in their letters! Haha... I was too nervous to blame them! So i joked it off by saying,
"Nahhh Shannon has always been a guys name, some people just don't know it turned unisex yet! XD"

So she got me checked, and asked me to ENTER-
THE GREAT HALL. O.O
Sounds like Harry Potter, well, i sure was thinking it when she said that! :D

So i got in, Handed the lady my stuff, She got me sorted and asked me to que at the other counter for payment! The lady beside her was like, mildly insulting me... LOL...
But i didn't give a flying fart! She was speaking in mandarin,
"Eh is she local? How come she sound so matsaleh geh? Really local ah?"
As if i didn't understand mandarin! XD
Please la, 6 Years Primary kayhh...
Didnt return all to my teachers YET! X)

So there was a pretty long process i had to go through.
First, fill in THREE FORMS.
One for Library card, one for Security Car Pass Entry, and one for...
I forgot what its for but i think it was student ID?

So yeahh got it done,
Lined up for a wee while, and finally my turn!
Paid the bill (RM5,500/sem) Ssssssssst!!!
And two more counters and DONE!

The last one was with the security fellas,
Where on the spot, THEY TOOK MY PHOTO!
Arggghhhh!!! :P

Looked alright surprisingly, no doubt to that!
But i think i was sorta already falling in love with the uni!
Hehe... ^_^

Then finally when all was sorted,
Mom was like,
"Lets go chow down some food in the canteen!!"
Hahahaha....
I was like,
"Sure thing! Then after that, check out the Sports Complex!!"

Canteen.
LOTS of STUDENTS!! :O
Left, right centre! FOOD FOOD FOOD.
Drinks, Oriental Food, Malay Food, Indian Food, VEGETARIAN food! Western...
Lots of choices, looked quite pleasing. : )

So i got a plate of Indian food, looked yummy!
But the price! Oh-My-Gawwd!
RM6.50 for what?!
Lil bit of rice, curry mutton, long beans, 1 chicken!
All in small amounts!
Pheeeewwwww.... :S

Mum's was better! Vegetarian was AWESOME!!
So much for RM5.50? Worth each penny man!

So i was done with my dish,
Mom wanted to try MORE. XD!!!
She was so excited i don't know why!
Maybe she was hungry? Yes, gastric too!

Went over to the Malay counter,
Sambal Ayam! XD

Tummys filled and ready for more action,
We set foot in search for the Sports Complex!
Halfway there, "We should drive up!"
Get the car.

Walked like 10 minutes everypart of the campus,
Couldn't remember where we parked!!!!!
XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the time we found it, all our food was already digested! LOL.

I DROVE. :D
Freaked her out a bit, but I DROVE. X)

Got to the Sports Complex...
Omg.... LOVED IT TO BITS!!!
Ping Pong... Badminton... Squash... Tennis... Soccer Field...
And most of all... SWIMMING POOL!!!
Ahhh i can already imagine the days i'll be spending there! XD

So quite satisfying,
I DROVE us home. Hehe...
Yes, WE SURVIVED.
And YESSHH, i feel so confident with my driving already!
Despite how UNoften i got to practice! X)

But alls well ends well! It was a great day for me!

Came back, did a lil bit of Xanadu's work,
And KAPOOOONKK.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Two hours later, I'M BACK!!! Hahaha...

Tomorrow off we go again!
I remember the way to go!
But i won't be driving! :( Oh well...
Induction training!!!
TOTALLY EXCITED!!!
