Everyone's effort is measured differently.
Sometimes, when life doesn't go our way,
And we feel we have let the people we care most dearly about down,
We fall back on pessimistic thoughts of giving up, letting go, and losing hope.
It is natural to let ourselves momentarily drown in disappointment,
Imagining silly images of them with downward curved faces and frowns of dismissal.
All this is because of a mere fact that - we care, we love, and so, we hurt.
Yet, what we do not realize is, by thinking these thoughts, are we not hurting ourselves??
To love others, we need to love ourselves most first.
If we lose a battle, does that mean we lost the whole war??
Do we not deserve to give ourselves a new breath of hope??
A new chance to prove our loser self wrong??
There is no failure, only learning experience...
Disappointment is just a phase.
Let it pass, and allow a new one to begin.
A new one that is filled with enthusiasm,
Recharged with more faith and determination!!
Without feeling disappointed,
Will we be able to dig in deep down into ourselves,
And find renewed energy to fight on??
Will we be able to taste the pure sweetness of our victory when our next battle is won??
All the blood, sweat, tears and sleepless nights??
I think victory would not be that sweet without disappointment. : )
Parents are our earth angels sent by God to teach us, to guide us.
They love, care and would even die for us if they had to.
This kind of love is selfless, unconditional.
But what makes you think we would not do the same for them??
Sacrifice our time, our soul, our fragile feelings??
Never ever underestimate our own power to love.
They invest in us, so we can invest in them.
We invest in ourselves now, so we can redeem their love later on in life.
All they want is for us to live a worthy life.
So that they can live a happy life too. : )
