Time - Come and Gone.

Only last year September, before i had set myself out to do crazy things, i couldnt stop myself from complaining, "Damn! How slow time passes! I wish i'd started college already! All this waiting really makes me wanna freak at somebody!" Sad to say, no such volunteer appeared; instead, everyone who knew me and was around me at that time, split within seconds! Who could blame them?! Lol!

Anyways, although now, after 3 months, my wish came true, somehow i suddenly realize, wow, when its fast, ITS FAST. Christmas was over in no time, new years was kabaam and gone, whats next? Pffft... CHINESE NEW YEAR.

=Fast forwarding to the future~=

Then soon, my birthday, YAY 18! Then Valentines Day-long gone, then those insignificant in between days after that before i would FINALLY start college! Sounds long and tiresome, at the same time, not long at all. Haiihhhh.................... I know im being so hypocritical right now, BUT I CANT HELP IT!!! :S

To think, all this waiting would have prepared me to face my most welcomed challenge, especially because it took such a huge toll on me when almost everyone in my class had already started experiencing the good life after high school- college life! Wahhh!!! Mostly, i felt super left out cause of all the waiting. My soon to be college/university is Nottingham University, the new one in Kajang, Semenyih, i know i know... Super far away, but thats not your problem, thats mine. Back to the point, it was uuber frustrating but it was something i knew i wanted so badly, that sacrificing a few months, even if it meant that i would start my term later than even the SPM students, was worth it.

I always knew something big was destined for me, but i didnt know what, i still dont, it hasnt come yet, but for now, i am, as always, still patiently waiting.

The word, COLLEGE, means BIG things for this little girl. Most may say that college is nothing... Just normal classes with teachers transformed to lecturers/ professors who cares less about the students, and also casual wear, no more constrained to greyish green coloured uniforms, or crew cuts. But to me, thats just so minor and totally NOT the big picture!

It irritates me to see how some of the already "college goers" complaining about how college is so boring and yet boasts happily that the only best thing about it is that smoking is allowed in the college grounds. Im like, WTF is your problem? If you hate everything about it, GO OUT AND WORK! Get yourself a job why dontcha?! SWAGGER! XP

Sometimes, when i watch tv, and there happens to be some reality in it and i see people actually struggling so hard to keep themselves in school or are working to earn money to get into college cause their parents cant afford it, i always think about where i stand. I've got time to kill, i don't have to work! I have a car to drive me to school, and assuring, supporting parents who is able to support me and my dreams, i feel so grateful, yet also wonder what i did in my past life to deserve such a fortunate circumstance. So i did! I got myself a job! Several jobs even!

Working part time everywhere these past months have really woken me up to the real world. Even the registrar at Nottingham said so, LOL. When i called last week to double confirm my enrollment, i found myself speaking to the same person coincidentally over the phone again. A few months back before my IG results were out, i spoke to her. And in the more recent conversation, she said," You are the same girl who called last year... Your voice sound so different! So mature than before!" Humbly, i blamed the morning flu for sounding not myself, but deep down i knew, i have changed.

Already gotten used to being mistaken or gaped at by my customers for NOT being a 23-24 year old, i now know the purrfect way of objecting to their opinion of my age. If you have the similar problem as i do, the following tips will be a savior. *wink*

Step #1 : SMILE. : )
Step #2 : Lie. And agree with them. [remember, keep that smile on!!]
Step #3 : If they are still interested in debating or being indifferent about your age, just say this,

"Haha! Good guess! Good story too huh? Well, you wont get to win the lottery if you
strike on the right digits of my birthdate! {sarcastic: HEHEH!}, HAVE A NICE DAY!! And then proceed to your next customer.

Geez, innit irritating that suddenly, everyone thinks you're old all because you impressed them with an amazingly convincing sales pitch and that they have to "comfort" themselves by guessing your age, in this case, an age far from close to your own, all because they have decided on buying your product! Well folks, true story. Happens to me ALL the time!

And this is what i have realized most, time- the culprit. Time encourages people who love life to change, for the better or worse. It opens so many opportunities for a limited time span, for those wise and brave enough to take it. Call me a babbler of ridunckulous philosophy, but its true.

So CHEERS to the new coming of time! Cheers to all the new possibilities! And most of all, cheers to the Chinese New Year i would come to experience, and may time bring me too, more opportunities to receive red packets with big notes. X)

Have an AWESOME CNY ya'll! <3

Peace Out*
